ART

Owen is quite an artist, if I do say so myself.  So much so that we are extremely interested in getting him into an art-based preschool.    I don't photograph all of his work, but here are a few that I managed to capture before he erased them.   These are all done of his own volition- I do not commission him to draw anything ever, because, well, have you ever tried to get a 3-year-old to do anything?

His name and self portrait

Sun with a face, a rocket, and the sea with a whale and Owen on a sailboat.

Do you see what he did here?

Do you see it now?

This, this is a masterpiece.  Unfortunately I took a photo before it was done, but right now it is a table with a donut and coffee on it, and a person in a chair.  I'm so impressed that he drew the person's profile!  Amazing!  He added building walls and a VooDoo Doughnuts sign, as well as a counter and cash register.

I'm totally bragging but I am truly impressed.  He colors and paints wonderfully, and is extremely careful about staying inside the lines.  Multiple strangers have commented on his artistic abilities.  He certainly doesn't get this talent from me!  I am so proud and we are absolutely going to nurture this gift of his.
