Our "tree" from last year was just a royal pain in the tuchus this year (um, hello toddler) so we opted to give Owen a wonderful Christmas memory. Kraig took him to a nearby tree farm to cut down a tree. We've never had a real tree before, and we think this was a really fun tradition to start with Owen!
We had heard about this awesome hippie farm (started by a homebrewer and yoga instructor.)
Dylan and I stayed at home, of course. But we hear that they walked far into the "forest" to find just the perfect tree.
Kraig cut down the tree and then gave Owen credit for it ;-)

I hear there was eating of candy canes and drinking of hot chocolate as well. So fun! Owen was excited to tell me all about it when they returned home. I'm excited to join them next year!
