We had been looking forward to this weekend for such a long time. Well, September to be exact. We were going to be hosting our first out-of-town visitors and would FINALLY get to show some people around Portland! My older sister, Dawn, and her husband, Chris, came to visit us for the weekend. They brought Baby Noll, too :) Yay! I was thrilled to see her cute little baby bump!
We had a nice relaxing weekend. We knew we wanted to take them to a few special restaurants, and other than that we were sort of winging it. We went to the Portland Saturday Market and spent way too much on pastries :)
Stopped at Powell's to pick up a book or two.
We ate at Jade Teahouse in Sellwood and stopped off at Spielwerk Toys so Owen could burn some energy. We also found a special Christmas gift for him while we were there (I can't believe it's (past) time to start Christmas shopping!) We took a short rest at home before heading to a wine tasting at Boedecker Cellars. A few sips of Oregon Pinot Noir later and we jetted over to Andina for some amazing novoandean cuisine!
We ate a few too many small plates (which seemed to be the theme for the weekend) and headed home for some evening wine and conversation. All in all, it was a fabulous visit and we were so happy to have the chance to entertain some out-of-towners.
