Racking Kraig's second homebrew just so happened to coincide with the same weekend as the Brewer's Festival.
We've got a pretty good system for racking- I sanitize and fill each bottle, Kraig caps. The capper is a scary contraption, for sure.
Kraig's twice-fermented pale ale, ready to carbonate and condition in the bottle.
All the supplies ready to go!
Beers bottled and capped (blue for pale ale; his first was orange for mango-raspberry ale), ready for conditioning. They'll be finished in 10 days!
This is such a fun hobby for Kraig. There's a fair amount of work involved but the payoff- 4.5 gallons of handcrafted beer- is worth it. It's tasty, too! (Owen and I get to taste pre-fermentation, since there's no alcohol at that point)
