The end of July means Oregon Brewer's Festival time! Four days, 85 breweries, and one happy Kraig.
He got to meet the inventor of the Brauler. Available only to breweries and homebrewers, Kraig can't wait to get his hands on one of these.
We were in the middle of the South tent here. Yes, two HUGE tents. The festival is crazy big.
Mama and her baby boys
They have a kids' tent as well, which was a lifesaver. We got to get out of the sun as well as entertain Owen while Kraig sampled. There were coloring stations, free Crater Lake handcrafted root beer (SO yummy!) as well as a face painter!
Owen decided he wanted a penguin. It wasn't her strong suit- her other artwork was amazing- but it turned out pretty cute! Owen was thrilled.
(Not quite finished- I didn't get a photo of the final product! D'oh!)
Kraig had so much fun, but we didn't use all of his sampling tokens the first day so we went back again the last day of the festival. We brought our neighbor (lovingly referred to as Papa Gordon). More beer, more coloring, more fun!
We can't wait until next year! It was better than we expected, minus the port-a-potties, of course.
