Sophie's new 'do

We have only ever taken Sophie to be groomed twice.  She's sported four different hairstyles in the 6 months we've had her.  She had a puppy cut before we got her, which grew out into a fuzzy mess because we let it go too long.  Then she was shaved as short as it could go- all except her schnauzer face.  When that grew out, she looked like this-

Which is cute, but also a bit mangy.

We brought her to a new groomer and they wanted to try a schnauzer cut (short on the back with longer leg hair and skirts on the sides) but wanted to give her more of a "maltese" face.  (She is a maltese- mini schnauzer.)

I guess we didn't really know what that meant, but we loved the outcome.

See her "skirts"?  It's definitely more noticeable when she's not sitting, but she is so darn hyper it's hard to get a clear shot of her standing.  Silly puppy.

I love her new sleek face- I think she looks so cute and feminine.  They left her pretty curls long on top before cutting it shorter just behind her ears toward her back.  It looks really great.  I love it!
